Test Netflix Review (2025): India’s Most Unusual Cricket Film – Worth Watching or Not?

"Test (2025) Movie Review: Madhavan-Nayanthara’s Strong Acts Clash With Slow Pace – Hit Ya Flop?"

Netflix ne finally cricket, emotions aur ethical drama ka desi masala serve kiya hai "Test" mein – ek film jo R. Madhavan, Siddharth, aur Nayanthara ke stellar performances ke bina possibly half-time pe collapse ho jaati. Director S. Sashikanth ne ambition dikhaya hai, lekin kya yeh slow-burn drama audience ko engage ka payega?

Chalo dekhte hain!       

Plot Twist Zyada, Pace Slow – Story Kya Hai? 

Cricket fan? IVF struggles? Sci-fi ambitions? Test in sabko ek saath blend karke multi-layered drama banane ki koshish karta hai. Siddharth ka Arjun ek faded cricketer hai jise board retire karwaana chahti hai. Nayanthara ki (Kumudha) IVF ke through maa banne ki koshish mein hai, jabki scientist hubby "Madhavan" (as Saravanan) ek revolutionary fuel project pe lagaa hai. Inki lives collide hoti hai ek incident se jo sabko moral test karta hai.

Performances – Who Hit The Six?

- R. Madhavan : MVP hai yeh genius scientist! Subtle expressions, breakdown scenes, aur ethical dilemmas ko Madhavan ne  masterclass diya hai. Second half unka hai!  

- Nayanthara :Initial scenes mein thodi rigid, lekin IVF journey ke emotional scenes mein woh raw vulnerability dikhati hai. Dialogues thoda cringe, but she salvages it.  

- Siddharth : Underrated! As a broken cricketer, uska restrained acting (specially climax) *eyes moist* kar deta hai.  

- Child Actor Lirish :Cute hai, lekin "Papa please don’t go" jaisa dialogues thoda forced lagta hai.  

P.S.: Nassar aur Meera Jasmine ko wasted feel hua – like *Virat Kohli ko 12th man bana diya ho*!  

  

- **Cinematography 🎥:** Cricket matches ki visuals slick hain – slow-mo shots, stadium drama *big-screen worthy*. But family scenes thoda flat hai.  

- Music 🎵: Shakthisree Gopalan ka music forgettable hai. Title track catchy nahi, BGM bhi 'elevate'nahi karta.  

- **Editing ✂️:** 148 minutes runtime! Second half ke 3-4 scenes delete karte toh pace tight hota.  

Final Verdict: OTT Pe Dekhna Chahiye? 

"Test" ko *3/5 stars*. Agar aapko slow-burn dramas pasand hai aur Madhavan ke fan ho, yeh ek decent one-time watch hai. Par agar aapko paisa vasool entertainment chahiye with racy cricket drama, toh yeh "Netflix"ki library mein "scroll further" karo. Movie ka soul hai, lekin weak execution ne isse "Test match draw" kara diya!
